The story also travels north to Glasgow, where Brazilian au pair Brunilda faces culture shock, unfamiliar customs and an aching sense of distance from her family in Belo Horizonte. As she forms a close bond with Kamila, a young Polish illustrator, the boundaries between friendship and love begin to blur, adding warmth, tenderness and complexity to this deeply human exploration of home and belonging.
