When her mother discovered a vintage pattern for crocheted bicycle wheel guards and made a set, Simone Ursula loved them so much she designed her own. A chance conversation with a woman in the supermarket then led to a new design for wheel covers for wheelchairs.

To promote her new creations, Simone sent ten different wheel cover designs to ten wheelchair-using women on Instagram that she admired, and she says the response was phenomenal.

“What happened exceeded all my expectations,” says Simone. “The ladies were so enthusiastic and didn’t send just a single photo but continued to send beautiful photos from around the world.”
